Configurable network (research groups and users)
Its structure allows, the network administrator, to define the units of the network and their managers.
Each manager defines the users of his unit (subjected to permissions).
Management of study subjects
Each unit registers the study subjects considered relevant to the research.
This subjects will be added anonymised into the system. The system will assign a code for each, avoiding records of personal data that allow person identification, so that the Organic Law on Protection of Personal Data should not be applied to this data.
For each subject, sociodemographic, analytical, anthropometric, health history, habits, treatments and diagnostics data are collected.
Furthermore, it is possible to track the study subjects through reviews or regular visits over time.
Sample management
While subjects of interest are detected for research, this tool records the collection of the samples donated by this subjects and their sent to the National DNA Bank (BNADN).
The system allows to track the shipment and sample reception in the BNADN, being completely traced.
This is not only important for traceability, but also if the samples are required for subsequent studies.
External devices
RIHAD has specific functionalities for its integration with external devices ensuring the quality of some tasks and processes.
Allows interoperability with bar code readers and label printers.
The codes, used to anonymize the study subjects and samples, can be printed, so that they can be read with a code bar reader improving the code introduction in verifications or updates.
Knowledge management
RIHAD also includes a powerful data analysis module for the exploitation of information, promoting research, collaborative work in network and knowledge management.
In addition, data stored can be exported to Excel files.
